Advising is a process of keeping clients thoroughly informed.  I provide an ongoing market perspective and explain my specific security recommendations based on their fundamentals.  An informed client is a much better long-term investor.  She or he will be less likely to request a portfolio liquidation on fear, produced by short-term market fluctuations.  The benefit -- opportunity is not shortsightedly forgone and trading costs are not run up in a panic.  Every client is strongly encouraged to ask questions they consider important to understanding their investments and the market.
